Private Dog Training Lessons
Private Lessons work similar to the Group Class in that we get together once a week for about an hour. During that hour we will cover the exercises that you will need to practice with your dog each day. Each week we will build on the skills learned from the previous weeks practice. The Private Lessons are a six or eight week course, for approximately one hour. During that hour I show you how to train your dog. The exercises we cover are obedience skills based on your dog’s age and skill level. We can also work on any problem solving you may have with the dog around the house. Private Dog Training Lessons shine in that we can customize your class to meet your all your needs, both obedience and problem solving. Whatever your dog’s issues are we can address them. All Private Dog Training Classes come with a dog training manual |

Board and Train Dog Obedience Course
The way the boarding school works is the dogs stay with me for a period of time. (3 weeks for level 1, 3 weeks for level 2) Level 1 teaches all the formal commands: Heel (walking on a loose leash), there are also 5 turns with Heeling, Sit, Down, Stand, Stay in three positions (with distractions), the recall (the dog runs to you and sits facing you), the finish (the dog moves to your left side), and figure eights (you are able to move in and around objects with your dog and the dog remains by your side without sniffing the object or taking a short-cut). Level 2 expands on these skills. We teach a Sit, Down, or Stand out of motion (you are walking or running and give the dog a command Sit, Down or Stand and continue to move away while your dog freezes in the position you called for), Down on a recall (the dog is running to you and you can Down them before they reach you), Down out of play (the dog is playing and you can Down them when you ask for it), off leash Heeling, and Send outs are introduced also. Both courses are 3 week programs and include the boarding, the training (up to an hour a day), a manual, and two handling lessons to make sure the transfer of training is complete.

Obedience Pak - 4 In-Home Privates and 8 week Group Class
The Obedience Pak is a 12 week course. We get together for 4 in-home visits, once a week, for about an hour. During that hour, I show you how to train your dog. Then you get 8 sessions in the group class to proof your training in a distractive atmosphere. The exercises we cover are: attention; targeting (moving the dog to a desired position without force; motivational training (training in an excited emotional state); heel (walking on a loose leash); 5 turns with heeling; sit, down, and stand; stay in all three of those positions (with distractions); the recall (the dog runs to you and sits facing you); the finish (the dog moves from a front sit to your left side); and figure 8 (you are able to move in and around obstacles, with the dog in heel position on your left side, without sniffing the obstacle or taking a short cut). The combination classes are a very effective way to train your dog and proof your dog's understanding of the skills. ========================================================= |
