There are only a few situations when I would ever recommend a electronic collar, since I am from the school of thought that we have been training dogs for thousands of years without these tools. And with all the advances in Reinforcement Training, we can solve most any problem without them.

This collar is the most flexible collar on the market. While this collar has the ability to deliver a mild shock, it main feature is that it has the vibration effect. The vibration can be used for either praise or correction depending on what you train into it.

For deaf dogs we would use it to communicate a reward marker. Similar to the same way we use a clicker in Clicker Training. This is the most effective way to communicate to a deaf dog. This vibration feature can also be used as a paging feature to call your dog when they are at a great distance or out of sight.

You can also use this vibration feature to get the dogs attention for use in correcting inappropriate behaviors. Then of course it does offer the shock feature, but what is nice is that it does not deliver a high level shock. Only mild to medium, so you can never overwhelm your dog.

No-Bark Collar

Often times you can not be present to correct the nuisance barking behavior. All good electronic bark collars should have different levels of corrections. When your dog first starts the barking the low level is emitted, if they continue to bark the correction steps up to the next level and so on until they stop barking. After a period of quiet they reset back to the low level again.
